PRESS RELEASE  – Rome, September 4, 2023 – DOCTORWINE has created an APP for mobile devices and platforms: it will be available to readers around the world in both in Italian and English and for both iOS and Android systems.

It can be downloaded for free from the Apple App store or Google Play. The DOCTORWINE app will allow you to access all the content found in the Essential Guide to Italian Wine and the Eating and Sleeping amid the Vineyards guide.

In the Essential Guide section, readers can discover the over 1,200 wineries covered for a total of 3,150 wines evaluated by Daniele Cernilli and his team of expert tasters, while the Eating and Sleeping amid Vineyards section will provide information on the hospitality structures and services offered by the some 200 wine estates reviewed in the guide including their locations, information on proposed initiatives and ways to reserve a room, a restaurant or a tasting experience in a winery or amid the vineyards. For each estate readers will be able to discover their characteristics, awards and ratings and find out which are the closest to them in a radius of 100km, with maps indicating the exact location and contact information for the eventual acquisition of their wines directly from estate shops.

We believe we have created a pleasing and easy-to-use tool that offers immediate access to the major research effort we carry out every year to highlight Italy’s best wine production. This is a useful tool for many wine lovers but also for wine estates that will benefit from this new, direct information channel to interact with their clients. We are already working on additional applications to offer users the possibility to personalize the interface and make it an increasingly interesting experience to expand their knowledge of wines they already know as well as new ones to discover and to create their own personal and valuable tasting archive”.

DOCTORWINE is an independent network, dedicated to offering information and education in order to spread wine culture. It was created by Daniele Cernilli, in 2011, initially as an online magazine in both Italian and English, DOCTORWINE was the first web magazine to offer Italy’s point of view on wine to an international public.
