Shades of autumn and truffle at the Relais Le Marne

White truffle hunting, sensory analysis and gourmet dinner for three days immersed in the Piedmont countryside. Relais Le Marne, a boutique hotel located within the Mura Mura Farm welcomes autumn with a tailor-made experience.

Relais Le Marne is located in Costigliole d'Asti, between Langhe and Monferrato, and is the brainchild of Guido Martinetti, co-founder of Grom. A refuge surrounded by the orange colors of vines and fruit trees, where harmony and enchantment envelop everything.

It consists of La Dimora dei Poeti (4 suites, 1 deluxe room) and La Dimora degli Artisti (1 suite, 2 junior suites, 1 superior room, 4 deluxe rooms). There is also La Casa nel Vigneto (The House in the Vineyard), a splendid suite with a terrace, suspended among the vineyards overlooking Monterosa and the vineyards of Monferrato.

It boasts a unique 25-meter indoor swimming pool with 3 lanes, open year-round with large windows overlooking the vineyards, a 140-square-meter Technogym-equipped gymnasium, and a spa complete with sauna, whirlpool, massage room, and ice-water pool.

The estate also includes Mura Mura, a 30-hectare farm planted with vineyards and orchards owned by Federico Grom and Guido Martinetti, and the Radici Restaurant, led by Turin chef Marco Massaia, whose cuisine is rooted in Piedmont and Monferrato and exalts the poor local raw materials that are protagonists in the history of this land, interpreting them in a refined and careful way.

From the end of October to early December, it will be possible to stay at the Relais with the package "3 days in Le Marne, hunting for white truffles and their flavors," which includes white truffle hunting, sensory analysis and the special menu of Radici.

A program created to offer guests a break away from the hectic pace of daily routine, in an oasis of peace, and a unique multi-sensory experience.

The first event is truffle hunting: accompanied by a professional truffle hunter and his dogs, it will be possible to walk immersed in the landscape and autumn atmosphere of the Langhe and Monferrato in search of these extraordinary tubers.


This will be followed by an aperitif with Guido Martinetti accompanied by sensory analysis and pairing with wines from the Mura Mura Winery. Here, you will discover the different characteristics of the truffle, which change depending on the plant under which it is found, the nature of the soil and its grain size, and the maturity of the tuber. This will be followed by a unique tasting of wines that evoke its aroma, starting with the great aged Barbaresco and Barolo, strictly Mura Mura.

To conclude the day, a gourmet dinner at Radici. Chef Massaia will interpret the truffles found during the hunt by making them the protagonists of a special menu, able to enhance this tuber of excellence, always winking at the Piedmontese tradition (as with Raviolo Ris e Coi, Nucetto chestnuts and hunchback cardoon or Tajarin 30 yolks with malga butter, obviously accompanied by a grating of truffle).
