The ancient Masseria Li Reni

Acquired in 2015 by the Vespa family, Masseria Li Reni has been transformed into a luxury resort with extreme attention to detail.

Masseria Li Reni was built in the second half of the 1500s. It was a monastery between the mid-1600s and the mid-1800s. The Vespa family acquired it in 2015, transforming it into a luxury resort. 

A large hall with original stones, furnished with contemporary works of art, can accommodate 150 people. Next to it, there is a library lounge with a fireplace. Outside, in the 'secret garden', there is a small, heated swimming pool with hot tub. A larger pool, also with hot tub, is close to a magnificent 500-square-meter yard paved with 16th-century stones and suitable for large events. Next door, a delightful pine forest is furnished with cushions on stone.

The sixteenth-century castle houses six large suites with bath and shower. Leather beds and sofa beds especially made by Natuzzi guarantee maximum comfort. Along paths of Mediterranean scrub, six new suites wind their way with the exterior in stone, each with two bathrooms and a mini-pool hot tub that can open onto the garden. The seventh suite (“Casetta nel bosco”) is in the pine forest: bathtub with emotional shower next to a small custom-made room built by Natuzzi, like the bed overlooking the trees. At guests' disposal, an outdoor lounge with a small private garden.

The gourmet restaurant Menelao Santa Chiara, located within the enchanted walls of the Masseria, is the most authentic expression of the Apulian hospitality. The link between ancient and modern is expressed in the airy spaces and in the seductive and innovative proposals of Menelao Santa Chiara’s chefs. Their food and wine itineraries are already studied by the most rinomated National Guides, and are rooted in stagionality, in the gardens’ scents and in the industrious silence of the vineyards. An homage to the territory and conquers all for taste, intensity and culinary art.
