Simonit&Sirch; Academy: With online courses, pruning schools back in the field

Vine Master Pruners Academy becomes Simonit&Sirch Academy. And with online courses, Pruning Schools return to the field. 14 in Italy and 2 in Spain.

The Vine Master Pruners Academy becomes Simonit&Sirch Academy, a comprehensive training platform dedicated to vine training based on a virtual learning environment (www.simonitesirchacademy.com) and Vine Pruning Schools in the field. The only one of its kind internationally, it offers on the platform 4 continuous on-demand courses and 8 recorded webinars in vineyards on different topics (pruning, dendrosurgery, leaf wall), and 16 in-person Pruning Schools in different Italian and foreign regions.

The next Level 1 Pruning Schools will be held starting in November 2023. The package includes 2 online courses, Vine Pruner and Vine Pruner Advanced, and 3 days of hands-on practice, which will be held full time from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between November 2023 and February 2024 for winter pruning and in spring 2024 for shoot selection. Simonit&Sirch tutors will teach pruning and plant management techniques to safeguard health, longevity, promote resilience to climatic stresses, and improve vineyard sustainability. The four basic principles of Simonit&Sirch pruning will be explored: respecting lymph flow, encouraging branching and chronological wood growth, making small cuts, and preserving living wood.

A total of 14 Pruning Schools will be held in various Italian regions (Piedmont, Trentino Alto Adige, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, Campania) and 2 in Spain in Ribera and Rioja. A certificate of attendance will be issued to those who attend all the classes and pass a practical examination. 
In addition off-line schools will be held in California, Oregon, British Columbia (Canada), UK, Germany, Hungary, Australia, and Luxembourg.

Those who have already attended a School, or already purchased the Vine Pruner and Vine Pruner Advanced courses online, can register for one or more practical sessions at the location of their choice (cost €480).
