Only Longanesi grapes are used that have been harvested late and the wine ages for 20 months in tonneau barrels and then for several years in the bottle. The wine has a dark, ruby-red color and the aroma an intense herbal note typical of the grape, followed by sensations of spice, dried prunes and a hint of leather. The structure of the mouthfeel is bold as are the tannins that need a long time to settle. The persistence is good. Augusto is dedicated to Alessandro Morini’s maternal grandfather.
