    This vintage, while renowned, often does not live up to expectations. The color here is garnet and the bouquet has evolved with scents of dark tea leaves and while a note of custard replaces the more distinguishable classic scents, what stands out is how clear the aroma is. The mouthfeel is not very elegant with aggressive tannins that inhibit the wines development resulting a compressed finish.
