A light ruby color introduces a full and broad aroma with bramble berries and classic balsamic notes that stand out in hot and balanced years. The bouquet has purple violet and dark rose as well as notes of peach that are typical in years like 1990. There is also some prune which together with blueberry creates a distinctively complex aroma underscored by a touch of camphor. The mouthfeel is particularly lovely thanks to its complexity, elegance and boldness which are rare for this wine and places it a step ahead of the others. The tannins are elegant as always yet still lively, with a wonderful, intense and broad progression towards a finish with great personality and persistence.
