A blend of Sangiovese, Pollera Nera and Merlot that matures in barriques for 18 months. The wine has an intense ruby color and lovely concentration, while the aroma has hint of toasted notes, coffee, cacao and licorice followed by a note of fine leather and a whiff of leather. The attack of the mouthfeel is almost austere and it is complex and long with a pleasing softness in the finish that has a slightly bitter aftertaste.
