The ochre, straw-yellow color is almost identical to the previous two. With this third sample the physiognomy of the wine begins to define itself. It has an aroma of peel, fresh wood without being heavy, on top of citrus notes (this time lemon peel), dried apricot and a whiff of cinchona. There is something more succulent in the bouquet of this 2009, a note of sea water. In the mouthfeel the tannins are hinted at (as in all the other wines except the 2003) creating a framework without drying out. In fact, the finish is quite juicy for a white wine fermented in the skins. The way it holds up once opened or in the glass is excellent, even if the impression is that a Malvasia fermented this way does not age much in the bottle.
