The Nerello Mascalese grapes are from 80-year-old, alberello-trained vines and the wine ages in 25hl and tonneau barrels. It has a ruby-garnet color and a deep aroma of ripe red fruit and notes of underbrush and earth, berries and cardamom. The mouthfeel is full and warm and very bold with a wrapping finish of sweet spice and balsamic notes.
