This is one of the most famous estates in the appellation.
Made with Durella grapes from the town of Roncà in the Val d’Alpone. The bouquet has notes of ripe yellow fruit and honey sensations with nuances of hazelnut and a freshness of laurel and thyme on a background of iodine and dark citrus fruit. The creamy mouthfeel has an evident acidic backbone but without being excessively austere. There is almond paste in the flavor, a note of elder and a taut and clear progression from the almost tannic structure. A saline note dominates the aftertaste.
