We had great memories of this wine and it did not let us down. The wine is complex beginning with its ruby-garnet color and continuing with its bouquet of green tea, sweet mint, tar, damp earth and blueberry. The tannins in the rich mouthfeel are the quintessence of a Barolo: thick, flavorful and continuous. The finish is truly profound, austere and elegant. A very great wine with a long life ahead of it. This highlight of the tasting revealed a wine that after the fruitiness of youth appears to have obtained structure with aging. In other words, it has squared the circle.
