A vintage that began (and remains) elegant. The wine has a dark garnet color and an initially imprecise aroma that then opens with notes of black tea, mint, blueberry, white flowers and licorice. The mouthfeel immediately reveals tannins that are full, widespread and tasty without being pressing followed by a very deep finish. While this may not have as long a life as the 2001, it remains a great and very harmonious wine.
