Using only Montepulciano grapes, the wine is made is stainless steel and ages for six months in large French oak barrels. It has an intense, clear ruby-red color with lively purple reflections and even the aroma reflects bright and deep colors. In the bouquet there is the purple of prunes, the bold indigo of flowers and the green of rosemary, while the blue of the sea brings out a salty note that teases out a clean, full and lively mouthfeel. Like a child on a swing, this wine has push of young muscles, the power of becoming. While already fully satisfying, it is clear this will evolve and grow with time. The finish is intense and distinct in the hold of tannins that do not disturb but invite another sip.
As it is today I would pair this with a fillet in green peppercorn sauce, whereas in a couple of years it will go well with medallions of stuffed pigeon drenched in a reduction of this wine.
