Pecorino Centovie, Umani Ronchi goes to Abruzzo
The historical winery from Marche has expanded its boudries out of the region and in the new estate at Roseto degli Abruzzi produces Montepulciano and Pecorino grapes.
There is little doubt Umani Ronchi’s visibility, clear marketing strategy, global sales and, above all, consistent quality make it, together with Garofoli (an estate with slightly more classical style), one of the best representatives of Marche’s two winemaking territories: Castelli di Jesi for the whites and Conero for the reds. In all our years of tasting, we have never sampled one of their wines that was anything less than excellent.
In the new 30 hectares estate at Roseto degli Abruzzi with a unique view of Gran Sasso d'Italia, the winery produces interesting Colli Aprutini wines like the Pecorino Centovie, first produced in 2015.
