When biodynamic is style
Today we like to talk about the winery that in the Essential Guide to Italian Wine 2016 we awarded as the 'winery of the year'. It is Dettori, a small winery, family run, that produces only 40.000 bottles per year. It is difficult to explain the wines of the Dettori family if you have never been to Badde Nigolosu, near Sennori. It is unique place, 250m above sea level, with a view of the sea and wild beauty that is both violent and hypnotizing. The winesproduced here perfectly mirror these characteristics as well as the tenacity and stubbornness with which Alessandro produces his traditional wines according to biodynamic dictates. “I don’t follow market trends, I make wines I like, the wines of my land, Sennori wines”. Not everyone may like his wines but for sure they leave no one indifferent.
