Mr. Rupert’s vineyards (2): Antonij Rupert wines
This line was created several years ago and is a selection of Johann Rupert’s finest wines. They are made by Dawie Botha, the group’s enologist, and the brand’s director general is Gary Baungartner. The wines are a blend of the best harvests from the group’s various vineyards which are spread out through Western Cape, with most coming Osmarins and Darling, which is in the Coastal Region north of Cape Town. The grapes are all red varieties and all the wines age between 18 and 24 months in new small barrels of French oak.
