Daniele Cernilli e il Dolcetto d'Alba 2022 Fiorenzo Nada

The delicious Dolcetto d'Alba (from Treiso) offered by Fiorenzo Nada winery, to be drunk chilled, around 14°C.

As he has every year for at least 30 years, Bruno Nada, son of the legendary Fiorenzo, and who makes wines in Treiso, sends me one bottle per type of his wines. Treiso is one of the sub-areas of Barbaresco and he makes Rombone, Montaribaldi and Manzola crus. Needless to say when and how I met him, we are almost the same age and therefore a bit old, but "gray panthers" in every sense of the word.

Bruno makes, with his son Danilo, wines that are simply sensational and not even that expensive, because he is someone who does not like media limelight and has simply been doing his job in the best way possible since 1982. He lived through the period of the "Barolo Boys" without getting more involved, and he has produced formidable wines for decades without being in the spotlight of critics, fashions and whatnot.

But we are in summer, and so I point you to a delicious wine that could be drunk safely even at this time, It is not a Barbaresco, it is a Dolcetto d'Alba from Treiso, a wine that would deserve an MGA as if it were a Barolo, because in Treiso, as in Dogliani moreover, Dolcetto is giant. This one from Bruno's 2022 is just one of those. I'll describe it below, but if you find it, drink it, even if it's hot, maybe chilled, at no more than 14 degrees Celsius. Then you tell me.
