This is the estate’s flagship wine, the definitive version of which was established in 2003 as a blend of seven red grapes grown on the estate, the percentages of which change year-by-year.
It ages in French oak barrels, only a third of which are new wood, for around 18 months and then a further six months in cement. 2006 was a wonderful year characterized by a nice concentration of aromas and an excellent maturity. The color, which is still very intact, has a few garnet reflections. The bouquet is intense and wrapping with hints of fruit, some vegetal notes and sweet spicy ones like cardamom that have aged nicely. The mouthfeel is still fresh and has a fine salinity, with soft and yet dense tannins. Both dense and drinkable, it closes with a very harmonious finish.
