Intense spring rains, followed by a hot and dry summer resulted in smaller and more concentrated grapes and thus lower yield. The ruby color here is a very concentrated and dense (the percentage of Petit Verdot and Syrah is double that of the previous wines) and yet the aroma is unexpectedly delicate, always fruity but also floral and with notes of oriental spice on a background of graphite. The mouthfeel is also dense and concentrated but this in no way diminishes the wine’s drinkability.
