Normal weather during the growing season concluded with fantastic conditions to allow the grapes to ripen properly and achieve an excellent level of color and maturity. The harvest was good for the yield. Here the ruby color has garnet veins in it, while the bouquet is intense and complex with dried fruit, figs and prunes, together with blueberries, cloves and ash. The mouthfeel is extremely balanced and structured making the wine seem younger than it is. This is a wine that confirms how Barbera has a great potential to age if treated well in the vineyard and the yield is low per vine.
