La Luna e i Falò 2009

Limited rainfall and high temperatures resulted in an early harvest. The quality of the grapes was excellent in regard to both the sugar and acidic content, similar to 2003 and 2007.
Here the color is an intense purple leaning towards ruby, the aroma is austere with notes of dark chocolate and sweet coffee. The mouthfeel is ripe but intact with fruit that is still fresh. The flavor is harmonious, mature and with a nice tannic sweetness that makes the persistence aromatic, long and intriguing.
