The color is a clear garnet while the bouquet opens up with distinct scents of bottle aging, with both oxidized and volatile notes. The aromas include walnut husk, dried fruit preserved under spirits, traditional balsamic vinegar and cooked must. The acidity stands out in the flavor, which alternates between freshness and evolved notes that define its vivacity and drinkability. The mouthfeel is silky, the tannins are only hinted at and are for the most part settled and amalgamated. It closes with a wonderful persistence which is unexpectedly intact.
