We end with this old masterpiece, a piece of wine history not only in Campania but all southern Italy: the oldie but goodie Taurasi from Mastroberardino. Everlasting, surprising with its red color conceding only a few brick reflections. The aroma is gushing with its finesse, produced by scents of bark, licorice, dried leaves and humus. The tar is textbook, closers to a Barolo than most. The mouthfeel is still taut, austere, ready to withstand the coming decades fearlessly. A moving wine that makes us proud.
