A classic Bordeaux blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Had I not known it was from South Africa, I would have sworn it was a Haut-Medoc cru classé, perhaps a Pichon Comtesse de Lalande. It has a very intense, almost dark ruby color. The aroma is spicy with young notes of sweet wood and then those of blueberry and blackcurrant that complete a rather austere and aristocratic bouquet. The mouthfeel has tannins that are already fine and in the process of settling in, while the acidity is excellent and refreshing and upholds the body, making the wine easy to drink. A young yet already very elegant wine.
